The Setting
Cerilia is a U shaped Continent with various climates, geography, and inhabitants.
5 major regions, each divided in domains and sub-divided in provinces, are acknowledged by the population: Anuire, Brechtur, Rjurik, Khinasi (Basarji), and Vosgaard. Each region is populated mostly by one of the major human sub-race, while elves, half-elves, dwarves and halflings are rare. The most common humanoids on Cerilia are the Goblins (generic term for goblins, hobgoblins, and bugbears), the Orogs, the Gnolls, and the Giants. It is important to underline the fact that Cerilia doesn't know any Orcs or Gnomes (hence the absence of those races as PCs), and Dragons are legendary.
The campaign starts in Brechtur, in the domain of Muden (the Domain Sourcebook is available online, courtesy Wizards of the Coast. I changed a very few things for the purpose of this game ONLY, but stuck to the book overall). The PCs will start in the province of Kostwode, where the mayor Johann Gilmour of the city of Sagumzeit would ask for their help.
Cerilia is a vast continent, who has been completely changed by a cataclysm, known as the Battle of Mount Deismar, where the Gods and their followers changed the fate of the world forever. Cerilia is considered a Low Magic world, and the magic itself is different from other worlds (See the Rules Used section). The races are very different from the other worlds, and they worship a very unique pantheon of Gods.
The quest for the Blood Collector will lead the PCs to various places in Cerilia, including Tuarhievel, Ariya, Khourane, and the dreaded Shadow World.
